Godsbanen is a diverse and opportunity-rich space in Aarhus. Godsbanen is located in the renovated old freight railway yard in Skovgaardsgade, and is home to culture in all its guises, both if you want to experience or create yourself - everyone is welcome.

There are art and photography exhibitions, theatre, readings, clothing markets, and you can enjoy a good dinner or a cup of coffee in the Spiselauget. You can also work in the workshops and project rooms, participate in one of the more than 400 annual events or perhaps take a walk on the roof. The architecture is worth a visit in itself! The many options in the house

Godsbanen is home to a large number of actors, including Theater Catapult, the venue Radar, restaurant/café Spiselauget, Open Stage, Aarhus Film Workshop, film schools, Center for Visual Arts, Literature and Performing Arts, a business center and not least approx. 70 project offices within all cultural genres. In addition to the actors' own activities, you can also experience a large number of performances, workshops, exhibitions, conferences, meetings etc. by other organizers who rent premises from Godsbanen.

Department of (x) = Micro-Berlin

In a cluster of old DSB buildings behind the Godsbanen itself is the Department of (X); a cultural platform for young entrepreneurs, designers, musicians, artists and craftsmen and a very special piece of Aarhus. Here, cultural entrepreneurs, voluntary associations and artists and cultural actors live side by side in an area that is often described as a micro-Berlin. The area is full of life and exciting projects, and everyone is welcome to drop by.
