Jump in the saddle and experience the core of Bakkelandet

Give everyday a timeout, and spend a timeless moment on the back of an Icelandic horse. Bird song between Horsens and Silkeborg lets you experience nature in its most authentic version. Embraced by the rolling forests of the hill country, you get a cozy, guided ride on a real Icelander. The only thing that overshadows your field of vision is a pair of ruffled ears.

You quickly become familiar with the unfamiliar movements and allow the senses to open up. For the hill country is not only beautiful. With your undisturbed focus on the present, there will also be room to notice the scent of the forest and the sound of the rhythmically clapping hooves in the gravel. 

You do not need to have tried riding before. There are horses for riders of all levels, whatever you need a calm, stable mate or prefer a horse to walk in.

When you arrive, we have saddled the horse. You get a riding helmet on, and we adjust the stirrups, so you are ready to experience the beautiful, East Jutland hill country. With an experienced driver as a guide, you can safely enjoy the ride in the saddle.

Prices for horseback riding

1 hour tow for children up to 9 years: DKK 250.
Parents pull the horse themselves.

1,25 times tour incl. ascent and descent: DKK 400.
For riders without experience, approx. 50 minutes on horseback. Max 95 kg. From 7 years and up.

2 hour ride, incl. ascent and descent: DKK 500.
Riding experience required, gallop, etc., approx. 1,5 hours on horseback. Max 90 kg. From 9 years and up.

8-hour day trip to the Rediscovered Bridge: DKK 1000 + DKK 150 for a riding license, etc.
We have riding helmets that can be borrowed
The ride is recommended for experienced riders, as it is approx. 22 km and the terrain is varied from forests to meadows and hills.

Accommodation - Sleep in a cabin and check the horse into a hay hotel

Overnight in cabin with kitchen, up to 6 beds and access to shower and toilet. There is 1 double room and 4 single beds. Arrival and departure are agreed before arrival.
