Welcome to Denmark's most accessible swimming center!
The ferry and port city of Hou attracts people from near and far when the weather is good. But even on a rainy day, the water in the city can be enticing. In Vandhalla, experiences await all swimming-loving water dogs.
The center is designed to allow people with walking difficulties and wheelchair users to enter the swimming pool. Vandhalla thus has the only water slide in Denmark that is accessible to people with disabilities. There is also wheelchair-accessible access to pools via a ramp next to the pool, as well as a number of aids that can be used by people with walking difficulties.
A swimming pool for everyone
Vandhalla offers a good setting for both families with children and joggers, and has the following facilities:
- 25 meter pool with four swimming lanes, and a water depth of 1,8 meters at the deep end.
- 90 meter long water slide. Take either the stairs or the elevator to the top, where a wild view awaits. In fact, you can see all the way to Endelave. It is possible to use the lift at both the top and the bottom.
- Hot water pool with 34 degree warm water and raising/lowering bottom.
- Sauna and steam bath with access from the hot water pool.

At Vandhalla is located Hou Sea Sports Center, which offers disabled-friendly furnished holiday homes. The houses are located down to the coast, where the Coast Path has disabled-friendly pavement, which makes it possible to get around. This is your opportunity to combine the visit to Vandhalla with a lovely holiday by the coast.
