Discover the many historical posters at the Danish Poster Museum in Den Gamle By. The exhibition changes several times a year and contains between 400 and 500 posters each time.

The collection is very broad and ranges from political, cultural and artistic posters to commercial posters and newspaper flyers.

The joy of reunion

Explore among the world's fascinating posters that you do not necessarily remember, but which you may recognize when you walk around the museum. Maybe some funny memories pop up from childhood? The oldest poster is from 1880 and the museum contains posters from 126 countries.

Special exhibitions for special stories

From time to time you can experience special exhibitions that tell special stories. The poster format is everywhere, and although some may think that it is purely advertising, you can also discover many stories about historical events when you immerse yourself in the museum.

A museum in the museum

The Danish Poster Museum was founded in 1970 by the visual artist Peder Stougaard and is now part of the exhibition district in the Old Town, which shows life as it was lived in the 1970s.
