University Park

Distance: 10.39 Km

Universitetsparken is an open, light and airy park in Aarhus, which is surrounded by Aarhus University's buildings, dormitories and, among other things, the Natural History Museum.

The park is a lush green oak park with a lake built around a hilly moraine valley, where you can see ducks and other waders. The university park is a breather for employees eating packed lunches, students reading exams, the city's children and tourists alike.

Architecture, museums and amphitheater

There is no shortage of all kinds of impressions and experiences when you visit Universitetsparken. CF Møller has designed the yellow university buildings, which in the eyes of many are among the world's most beautiful universities. A walk in the park is an architectural experience in a special class. If you move to the northern part of the park, you will find a gorge where the so-called amphiscene, which dates back to 1949, is hidden. The stage adds an extra dimension to the park and is usually the subject of various informal events at Aarhus University. In Universitetsparken you can also show your interest in research Natural History Museum or travel back to ancient Egypt and Greece on The Museum of Antiquities.
