The Antique Museum at Aarhus University takes you on a cultural journey back in time. Back to Greek antiquity based on the great cultures of civilization from the Archaic period, the period of Greek art and culture, from approximately 600 to 480 BC.

Finds from the past

At Antikmusset you can experience an Egyptian mummy, gifts donated by the Greek gods, drinking bowls from Greek festivals, coins from the pockets of Roman legionaries and plaster casts of many of the ancient world's most famous sculptures. The museum consists of more than 500 plaster casts and 4000 original objects from the entire Mediterranean area. Among other things, the museum also presents you with effects from the Near East and Egypt.

Groups

The Museum of Antiquities forms a good setting for the ideal school and family outing, drawing teams, history and art enthusiasts.
