Årslev Engsø

Go on a seed and bird expedition at Årslev Engsø and come into close contact with the animals. If you and your family are bitten by nature, then go for a walk around Årslev Engsø.

At Årslev Engsø you can experience the frogs jumping and croaking and observe the many birds that build nests in the reeds. You can catch toads in the lake or climb the bird towers and get the wild nature under your skin.

Good trail system around the lake

A trail system leads you around the lake and is a good starting point for exploring nature.

Young lake

Årslev Engsø is artificially landscaped and does not have many years behind it. In 2003, Aarhus Municipality and Aarhus County were behind a decision to direct water from Aarhus Å and Lyngbygårds Å to the area to establish the meadow lake. Today it covers an area over 100 ha with a maximum depth of two meters.

Årslev Engsø offers good parking conditions, among other things Søskovvej, from where you have easy access to the lake.
